    Plantae-ID Leaf-Shape: whorled

Whorled Definition

In botany, "whorled" leaf arrangement refers to three or more leaves arising from the same node or point on a stem or stalk. These leaves are arranged in a circle or ring around the stem. This is distinct from alternate leaf arrangement, where leaves alternate up the stem, and opposite leaf arrangement, where leaves are paired at each node.
