Sinuate Definition

A sinuate leaf margin is characterized by strongly wavy indentations, resembling a curved bay or inlet. It differs from an undulate margin, which is wavy but occurs above and below the plane of the leaf, and from a crenate margin, which has rounded or blunt teeth.
